12/4/2003 - As of today we have a new weapon to use for storm emergencies in the future… it is our Brownstown Electric First Immediate Response Storm Trailer.  The idea behind the Storm Trailer is for immediate storm material to be available to crews working where a storm has hit a utilities system in an area that is not close to one of our warehouses or one of the utilities warehouses. Obviously, this trailer would arrive as soon as possible to the storm site stocked with as generic as possible items used on most any storm such as common sleeves, fuses, cross-arms, braces, 6A, 8A, basic cutouts, etc., etc.

Hopefully Santa's Sleigh will not look like this trailer this year... but just in case. :-)

11/11/2003 - A big congratulations to our Mr. Gene King as he was the recipient of the "Ernest G. Shearer Service Award" for 2003!  Gene was presented the award at the recent Indiana Line Superintendents Meeting in Vevay, IN earlier this month.  Gene has been the Northern Indiana Area Salesman for Brownstown Electric Supply Company since 1983 working out of the Brownstown Electric facilities located in Wabash, IN.  Nice job Gene!

9/16/2003 - If you are going to attend the ICUEE meeting next week in Louisville, please join us for a refreshment at the Executive Inn next door.  We always look forward to this meeting and feel fortunate to have a show of this caliber so close to us.  Drive safe, enjoy and we'll see you there!

8/4/2003 - Please join us in welcoming Mark Monroe to the Brownstown Electric TSD team!  We happy to announce the addition of Mark to the TSD support staff at our Brownstown, IN location.  Mark will step in to work with Chad and Roger complimenting and supporting the outside sales folks and customer needs from the support desk.  Mark comes to Brownstown with extensive computer skills and a great eagerness to help the TSD team and grow his knowledge and skills along with the team.

7/15/2003 - The Brownstown Electric ecommerce site has had some nice improvements made over the last week or so.  On the inventory side standard package has been added to all inventory and ordering screens.  On the order side, the order header has been amended to included customer purchase order number, Brownstown order number, order date and requested ship date.  We will be continuing to add more improvements as our ecommerce side grows and will continue to keep you posted.  Thanks for all your patience and support!

7/3/2003 - Jessie New is a new grandfather for the first time as of 7:02 AM this morning!  Jessie's daughter Jessica had a beautiful baby girl Hannah who weighed in at 8 lbs 4 ozs and 20 1/2" long.  Everyone is doing fine!  Two new ones in two days... Must be in the water!  Congratulations Jessie!!!

7/2/2003 - Tom and Kathy Scarlett have a new baby girl!  Kyla Raine Scarlett was born today at 12:42 PM weighing in at 6 lbs 12 ozs and 20 1/2" long.  Everyone is doing fine... we wish the Scarlett family all the best!

7/1/2003 - For those that weren't able to attend the Brownstown Electric Employee Outing at Churchill Downs on Saturday, June 28, 2203, you can click here to view some photos of the day.  Everyone had a great time... hopefully we can do it again sometime!

5/12/2003 - The new Pirelli 2003 catalogs on CD ROM were received today at the Brownstown office. If you have not yet received a copy and would like one, please see your Brownstown Electric outside salesman and he will be glad to get you a copy.

4/2/2003 - The Brownstown TSD Meeting Schedule has been updated again adding dates for the first TSD instructional meetings to be held at our Bellefontaine, OH location! 2/14/2003 - The Brownstown Electric Big Buck Contest for the 2002 Fall/Winter deer season is over! Congratulations to all the participants on the beautiful bucks taken this year. This was by far the best year yet with regard to the amount and size of deer taken in the BBC. Our first place winner was Mr. David VonFange (third shift driver for LGE) and runner-up was Mr. Keith Hooper (outside sales Illinois) with two beautiful bucks just NINE pounds apart! 2/6/2003 - The Brownstown Electric Technical Sales Division in conjunction with GE started a two day school today for instruction and focus on GE MeterMate software. The school is focusing on daily use of MeterMate in the utility working with a small group of nineteen metering folks helping to ensure all questions are answered and the software is used to its full potential. Here are a few group shots of the first day!
